Update: Mon 7/1 I'm feeling alive again ;) Cleansers, mask, massage and hydrating creams to wrap it up! So worth it.
On Thursday I'm gonna spend 1½ hour being pampered at the beauty salon, desperately need to hydrate my skin after the holiday craze, wine and lack of sleep is so bad for the skin and I haven't exactly bothered lately.
This treatment is basically a normal hydrating facial using Dermalogica products and it will be soo nice. Will tell you about it later :)
I have a bunch of new products to try right now, perfect gifts :o)))
These are a few of them - you might have seen my post earlier about the Chocomania products from The Body Shop, I was very reluctant to try it because I couldn't imagine the chocolate scent, but you know what, it's actually nice. Feels a bit funny, like you're bathing in sweets.
I really ate too much yesterday, Christmas eve was fine since we had dinner at our house and I spent more time preparing and serving others than eating, but yesterday we went to my sister-in-laws family and I relaxed. And I ate and drank too much of everything haha. I made up for it today at BodyBalance, felt alot harder than it usually does but it was so worth it. I really really hate feeling full, I don't know why I tortured myself. But it's like once a year :o)
So, some of the new stuff to try!
As much as I love Body Balance and yoga I still find it hard not to laugh when you stand in certain positions - like at Body Balance there's one where you look like you're going for no.2 and it's really not attractive, and in yoga there's the 'frog' which makes you look so stupid. I do them, of course, I know that all the others in the room are doing the same thing, but why can't people laugh about it more? You know, it's obvious that you look silly, do the pose but maye lose the serious face? Today at BB class I kinda understand a bit why you need to look serious though, the instructor said something funny when we needed to stay balanced on our toes, and I started giggling and almost fell. Maybe that's the next challenge? Balance and laugh at the same time!
Last week at yoga class, there was a group of asian students passing by in the hall and they literally stopped to look at us, like monkeys in a cage haha. Oh well. The things you do to look your best ;)
This ad for SATS gym has become one hell of a heated discussion in Sweden where this particular gym chain has promoted the girl in the ad as healthy looking and wants to attract regular Joe's as clients. That's how I've understood their message.
Next to her picture it says that she's been working out since 1999.
Yes - she looks happy and sweaty and in my personal opinion - fat.
This to me does not say 'overall healthy random 33 year old girl who works out and leads a healthy lifestyle'. If you work out and eat right this is not the result you had hoped for after 13 years at the gym. Losing weight might not be the reason everyone goes to exercise, maybe you just want to keep yourself in a good state of mind, but no one, and I'm very sure, no one goes to the gym overweight like her, thinking that losing weight is not what I'm opting for - that's just a lie.
Healthy people does not necessarily have to be skinny, you can carry a few extra kilos and still be healthy, but to me this ad says nothing but - 'come in, everyone is welcome, even if you are overweight and wish to remain the same after 13 years'
I personally don't work out 5 days a week to drop kilos, I'm naturally slim, but I go to maintain the weight and to feel better as the body gets a kick start and I feel mentally better. It would be a lie if I was overweight and said I go for the same reasons. In that case I would not hide the fact that I want to become more slim.
What do you think?
