After using these two night creams for a while now I’d say Vichy is the favourite. When I wake up after using a night cream I want my skin to look radiant and hydrated as oppose to dry or shiny and that’s pretty much the difference between the two. Dr.Organic makes my skin feel and look dry (I’m only refering to this particular night cream as I find other D.O products work well) while Vichy keeps it moist and makes me look about as radiant as I can after fighting the alarm in the early morning.
The negative side of both creams in this case is the smell – not very attractive but at the end of the day, literally, we apply them before sleeping so need to get annoyed because you smell of something strong or unpleasant. And no, there’s no middle way if you are using night cream for the purpose of getting rid of wrinkles etc; many of the anti-aging ingredients can cause skin sensitivity when exposed to UV rays, so it’s best to avoid sun exposure when using certain anti-aging creams – i.e best used at night. Also, night creams are sometimes richer for hydrating purposes and doesn’t mix well with make-up or foundations so despite what some people might say; there is a purpose of using separate creams day and night!
