Well obviously you can watch then in the heat of summer for all I care but I find them so cosy and inspiring to watch under the quilt in chilly winter, these three are my favourites; the locations, atmosphere, interiors, costumes and style – the list of inspiring things to watch is endless, not to mention the amazing music in one of them.
First, Amadeus. Old classic with so much going on in terms of music and costumes I don’t even know where to start, all I know is that I want to watch it all over again as soon as it ends.
2nd is Midnight in Paris (Woody Allen). Paris after dark, imagination, now and then, 20’s, costumes, love and everything that makes a feel-good movie.
3rd is The Great Gatsby. Pretty much for the same reasons as the two above.
