Body balance


As much as I love Body Balance and yoga I still find it hard not to laugh when you stand in certain positions - like at Body Balance there's one where you look like you're going for no.2 and it's really not attractive, and in yoga there's the 'frog' which makes you look so stupid. I do them, of course, I know that all the others in the room are doing the same thing, but  why can't people laugh about it more? You know, it's obvious that you look silly, do the pose but maye lose the serious face? Today at BB class I kinda understand a bit why you need to look serious though, the instructor said something funny when we needed to stay balanced on our toes, and I started giggling and almost fell. Maybe that's the next challenge? Balance and laugh at the same time!

Last week at yoga class, there was a group of asian students passing by in the hall and they literally stopped to look at us, like monkeys in a cage haha. Oh well. The things you do to look your best  ;)


Body Balance


Today I attended another Body Balance class which is something I can really recommend. Last night we had dinner and wine and slept quite late and this morning I felt tired and had no energy whatsoever. I even thought of skipping the class when I was walking up the stairs to the gym but pushed myself to go. Thank God. A voice deep inside knows very well that a work out session helps, not the opposite. You sweat out the bad stuff and regain energy.

I’m trying as much as I can to keep any negativity away from this blog, leaving space for beauty, inspiration and other positive posts but the fact that my left shoulder is giving me major pain is making me sooo angry. I missed my 2 a week yoga classes while abroad which annoyed me already but I thought the pain would have left my body by the time we came back. Seems not and I keep missing out on my classes. It’s not the results of toning the body I miss the most, it’s the spiritual part, the meditation and peaceful breathing. It’s really not the same doing that part only at home…arrgghhh. 

We’ve contacted this americano who seems to work miracles and heals any type of muscle or nerve related problems, so let’s pray.


Ayurveda and the mind

Morning! Summer starts today and it’s officially Hot! I’ve been sweating at the gym and now I’m gonna make some coffee and continue my book. It’s the kind of book that everyone should read (maybe prior to The law of Attraction) but unfortunately the ones who need it the most are the ones to never even touch this kind of book and information.

It’s really beyond me how little people work on themselves, generally. A true shame. Instead of worrying, stressing and focusing on all the wrong things in life people should take some serious time to read different type of self help books, exercise more and find a way in everyday life to quiet the mind. Very important.

Had such a great yoga session today, it was me and another 2 so practically like a private lesson :) It gives me so much strength and energy…great way to detox as well.

Spoke to my dad today, he’s in Sweden but will be back next week and he told me they have snow up there now. Snow. Feels so far away coz I had a coffee with my mum on their terrace just before we spoke and the sun was really hot. That’s my Christmas spirit hehe, clear blue sky, sunny and coffee on the terrace.


Little Thoughts and Prayers

Last night when I went to bed I started feeling sick, like shivering and sneezing etc and I think it might have been the yoga triggering it. You know, detoxing the bad stuff out of the body. Today I feel a bit better but to be on the safe side I prepared a healthy dose of vitamins for breakfast; apple, carrot and ginger juice.  And another thing, there was the Sunday Times laying around on the kitchen table and I thought I’d browse through it, sure a few days late, but manso many negative and depressing storys and news! Maybe for once the papers should shine a light on all the g o o d things that happens around the world, just for one day, let all the negativity rest and if everyone read the positive paper they would believe in these things (because yes..what you see is what you believe apparantly)

What I mean is that, everyday people around the world are fed with these news which 90% are negative, so you picture it, believe it and on it goes. Day by day. The only way to turn it around would be to feed people with happy, positive, inspiring news and storys so that we lower the crap bar. Don’t you agree?

Calm. The. Fuck. Down ;o)



This morning I took up yoga again which felt soo good, thank god I found these close by morning classes.

I used to do yoga quite a lot some years ago so I thought I’d be a bit rusty but it went really well. The thing is, I’ve taken classes by 3-4 different instructors before and they’ve all been very good except the last one which was the reason I stopped going. To me yoga is about mind, body and spirit and the instructor needs to be calm and inspiring for me to continue. The one who made me stop was nothing like that, she was like a female hitler and she made the class horrible. So of course I gave up.

Today, sure the class was at a spa/gym and my previous ones have been on open air roof tops etc which of course adds to the spiritual feel but the teacher was very nice and I feel comfortable going back.

Now I need an espresso and some food because my legs feel like jelly ;o)
