Last night we saw a truly great movie, very strange and different and maybe not something I would normally stay in front but it was too weird to leave the sofa and I found it at the same time hilarious, serious and romantic. Of course, there was Larry David. It’s hard to fail when he’s around, this time even more sharp than in his own series Curb your enthusiasm. I can recommend Whatever works (2009) if you like Woody Allen as a director and gets a bit of a sarcastic tone.
The story is about Larry’s pessimistic character Boris and a naive southern gal who ends up as his room mate. I can’t give away the ending but it’s all about, as Boris would say, seeing the big picture when it comes to life.
