All You Need Is Me – True Organic of Sweden

All you need is me from True Organic of Sweden is a new, award winning favourite, ‘replacing’ the 8 hour cream from Elizabeth Arden. You can use it in a million ways, but so far I’m mainly using it to hydrate and add gloss to my lips, and also to put those small annoying fine baby hairs in place. It comes in 2 sizes (15 ml and 50 ml) so one can follow you around in your handbag and the other can stay at home as a back up 🙂

  • Protects the skin against  weather and wind
  • Soothes red and irritated skin
  • Makes the skin soft and supple
  • Relieves minor sunburn
  • Whitens and reduces age spots
  • Hydrates dry skin
  • Assists in minor scrapes
  • Only a small amount is needed

It contains nothing but goodies, that’s why it’s a great replacement for other similar creams. Say hello to castor oil, beeswax, olive oil, shea butter, vitamin E and blueberry seed oil. That’s all.

Kanebo – Sensai Cellular Super Moist Emulsion III

I’ve recently started using one of the emulsions in the picture; Kanebo Emulsion III Super Moist and I really love it. Although I have a bit of an issue with dehydrated skin from time to time and oil based products seem like the obvious go-to choice, this water based emulsion is definitely doing the work. The texture is super light and absorbs quickly, and hydrates like crazy! Honestly, I start off with 2-3 drops of Supermood Egoboost Moisture Kick Serum, then eye cream and then I add the emulsion. That’s it. I don’t need any other product on top (well, if I go out I use BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Gel (6.5) but that’s it)

The word emulsion can be confusing as there are so many names and terms in the beauty/skincare jungle, but simply put – an emulsion is water based which makes it less heavy than a cream. It’s suitable for people with dry skin as it is very hydrating, but works well with oily skin too (being water based). Emulsions are more lightweight than a moisturizer but still extremely hydrating to the skin, and it soothes dry patches while keeping sebum (oil) and acne in check. So, win-win for everyone 🙂

In the skincare routine, the Emulsion III Super Moist can be used to prep for other beauty products, but it’s all down to your skin type and what other products you use. In my routine I use; cleanser, toner, serum, eye cream and then the emulsion. I could add another cream but with this particular emulsion, it’s enough to hydrate.

Gröna Gredelina Coconut Pure – Organic Coconut Oil

This pure Organic Coconut Oil is an all-time favourite! It’s a bit different as it’s actually completely fragrance free.

I personally don’t mind the coconut scent, especially in summer, but I agree it can become a bit overpowering if you also wear perfume, so having this fragrance free option is great.

Pure organic Coconut oil can be used in so many different ways;

  • Hydrating face cream for day and night use
  • Hand and cuticle cream
  • For eczema, ulcers and bites
  • As a hair mask to add shine and volume/Frizz tamer/Oil treatment/Dandruff treatment
  • Massage oil – keep it in a warmer temp so it melts
  • Body lotion
  • Shaving balm
  • Prevent and fade Stretch marks

This particular Pure Coconut Oil comes in a glass jar and is definitely display worthy 😉

Supermood in Malta

Very soon you’ll find Finnish skincare brand Supermood in Malta. I’m currently working hard on setting up the shop, and soon you’ll be able to enjoy these beautiful products.

I love this brand because of their holistic approach to beauty and wellbeing;

Supermood is a natural Finnish skincare brand with a fresh take on beauty and wellness. We see beauty as an all-round holistic process, where physical and emotional well-being goes hand in hand with each other and are directly reflected in the way we look on the outside. That is why we do not offer just skincare products but also a selection of other wellbeing products ranging from dietary supplements to chocolate.

You’ll be able to find a good selection of Supermood products from my upcoming online shop Olistica, and also, feel free to stop by my office/store in San Gwann if you want to say hello and try the products.

Exercise During Your Holiday

Finding it hard to exercise during your holiday? I agree. Since we are travelling right now it’s hard to stick to the regular exercise routine, but I really try to keep it up, one way or another. If you don’t find a gym or pilates/yoga classes nearby, you can always go for long walks and do some simple stretches. If you are near a pool, make sure you go for a few laps before relaxing on the flamingo 😉

Here are some simple things you can do without even leaving the hotel room if there’s no gym in sight;

  • 10-15 bodyweight squats.
  • 8-12 push-ups
  • 20-30-second bicycle kicks.
  • 20 jumping jacks.
  • 12 lunges per leg.
  • 15-30 second plank.
  • No rest between exercises, 1 minute rest between sets, repeat for 5 rounds.

Be creative and pack light exercise stuff like a resistance band, jump rope or a light yoga mat, so you feel more motivated to exercise during your holiday, and try to take every chance to stay active – even small, simple things like taking the stairs instead of the lift helps.

I also try to think twice about my eating habits when travelling. Nothing worse than feeling sluggish because the plane ride mostly means poor nutrition, or just simply eating too late or too often, and so on. One idea is to bring your own food on the plane. You can easily bring a small container with oats and dried fruits. All you have to do is ask for some hot water and there’s your healthy meal 🙂

My pilates ball had to stay at home unfortunately 😀

Marbella was beautiful as always. The last time we went, few weeks ago, I literally did nothing. Just stayed near our apartment, in the pool for hours and went for long walks. (J obviously played tennis and Aiden was carspotting)

I love the contrast from Malta, green lush areas and a different type of lifestyle that we really click with. It doesn’t have a strong ‘personality’ the way Malta has though, so I love going back and forth to get the best of both worlds.

Oh – I can really recommend Breathe, go to the rooftop bar and enjoy the view and a beautiful cocktail!
